Have family plan, one of my accounts cannot log in with facebook or email

I hope i can explain this properly,

I subscribed to the family plan and sent my wife the activation link.

When she follwed the link to set up her account she tried logging in with facebook but she got an error saying she did not have an account linked to facebook.  She then tried to creat an account with her email only to receive an error saying "it appears you are using your facebok credentials to log in try using use log in with Facebook"

She has tried retriving and changing passwords but nothign seems to work.  She cant even log in to unlink her facebook account to spotify. 

any help would be greatly appreciated.
