Have spent 3 hours trying all suggested solutions

unable to login. Either the username or password is incorrect

I know this is a common problem so that is how i've managed to spend 3 hours looking up solutions and trying them. 

I signed up to Premium yesterday, i can access Spotify on my tablet and computer, no problems there.

I cannot log on via my android for love nor money. Have so far tried the following:

1. Ensured that i am logging on using my username (not my email, although i have even tried using that combination too)

2. Have checked that there is absolotuely no connection between my spotify and Facebook account, even though i never did or will connect them i checked just in case. 

3. There are no spaces after my username or password, as someone on a previous thread suggested there may be.

4. Went to app settings and moved Spotify to SD card, turned phone off and on again - NOPE

5. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app 

6. Undid steps 4 & 5

7. Unmounted SD card and removed, uninstalled and reinstalled spotify, no joy.

8. Put SD card back in 

9. Checked my phone location is set to the right country, it is. 

10. I am tired and supremely annoyed. It's my day off and just wanted to listen to music not spend hours and hours on forums trying to access an app that i'm actually paying for.
