Haven't gotten confirmation email

I haven't received my confirmation email. Another post suggested logging in with my username instead of email, and it worked for that person, but I still haven't received mine yet. Apparently, I have reached the "maximum number of times" I can resend the email which makes no sense because it hasn't even been sent ONCE.
