Your display name replaces your username where it shows on your profile, app, and playlists and you can change it by following these steps:

1. Open your profile and tap EDIT PROFILE.
2. Tap your display name to change it, then save your changes.

Changing your username, however, is not possible, as it serves as a unique identifier for you on Spotify. A workaround would be to create a new account, as all new accounts get an automatically generated username by the system. You can then transfer your music to the new account and close the old one.
