Help please! Wrong User listed in top right corner

Help please! Wrong User listed in top right corner

I have seen multiple threads on this and have removed the facebook connection in the Preferences tab.  My profile list me but I still see my wife's facebook name in the right corner and the mobile version.  We tried re-installing, rebooting, etc.   I also emailed Spotify Customer Support and nothing back.

We have "disconnected from facebook" nder preferences on both of our accounts and this problem persists.  We have been dealing with this for about 2+ years and are finally trying to resolve it!

What is your Spotify username?

Mine is jrasinski (jrasinski@gmail.com).

That account isn't showing as connected to Facebook on your public profile:

It is most likely cached data being displayed from inside your apps although a reinstall should have cleared that out.

Right, i should NOT be connected to FB.  I disconnected from my account (and my wife's).

But I still see a coupe "who to follow" on the right activity panel.

Should I try unistall>reboot>re-install?

I am running on MAC + iphone

Thanks for stickng with me!!!

Yeah I would try that (again). On the Mac, can you follow the steps here?:

There are some folders which you may need to delete manually.

That link send me back to the main FAQ page.  Is there a specific thread you want me to follow? thx

I'll do a quick copy and paste 😉

  • Click Spotify in the menu bar, then Quit Spotify.
  • Open Finder then click Go > Library in the menu bar. (You may need to hold the Alt key if Library isn’t visible).
  • Open Caches and delete the com.spotify.Client folder.
  • Click the back arrow.
  • Open Application Support and delete the Spotify folder.
  • Go to http://www.spotify.com/download and reinstall Spotify.
  • Don’t worry about losing your favorite songs - all your playlists will be waiting for you when you sign in again. You’ll just need to redownload any previously synced music.
