Hey @AkashAgarwal ,

Have your tried sighing out and then back in again?

If so, could you uninstall the app and check for the issue once its reinstalled.

All the best!

Hey @AkashAgarwal ,

Thanks for confirming that.

Are you able to try to load Spotify on a differnet device so we can check if the issue reproduces there?

Thanks.

Have tried it in my other phone. Same issue is there

Device- Samsung Galaxy S8

OS - Oreo

Spotify app version - 8.5.16.781

Even I have the same problem and have tried all the above steps. The homepage works when I login using my brothers account but it doesnt work when I login through mine.

Nothing is working tried re-installation n every possible thing.

Weird is when I logged in using an non-premium account.

I can see the home screen working fine.

Premium account is bad. I won't recommend anyone to take the premium account. It is a waste of money.

Better not to go for premium and use the free account.

Hi @AkashAgarwal & @user-removed ,

I have checked your concerns about this with the folks backstage, and it appears to be an account issue.

As a workaround please transfer your saved music and playlists to a new account. Steps on how to do this here:

 https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/I-created-a-new-account-Can-I-transfer-my-playlists-saved-music/ta-p/4640164

Once this has been done you can go ahead and cancel your old account and subscribe on the new one.

Please do keep me updated so that we can get some resolution on this.

Thanks for that.

Will I get back the refund if I go ahead and cancel my subscription?

Same question from my side too

Hey @AkashAgarwal  & @user-removed ,

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The refund policy says we will be refunded within 14 days and if spotify premium is not used within those days. But I have been using the spotify premium and its features since the day I bought the subscription. Will I still be refunded?

I would suggest to tale help from support team chat service.

They assured me to get the issue resolved

Hey @user-removed ,

In this case I'd reccomend contacting Spotify directly. Info will be in the link I gave you with regards to refunds.

I hope this helps.

I had the same problem all I had to do was turn off the microphone and everything went back to normal

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this!

When you experience something like that, the first thing to do is run a clean reinstall

If that doesn't do it, make sure nothing in the phone's Settings is preventing Spotify from playing. You can do so by going to:

  • Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
  • Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.
  • Afterwards, you can restart the device.

Let us know if you've tried theseand if they fixed it for you!
