How can I hide my Top Tracks from my profile

How can I hide my Top Tracks from my profile

My Top Tracks-list is showing in my profile and I can't find a way to hide it. It wouldn't be so annoying if it didn't show all the tracks that I listened during "private session", but it does... Is there any  way to hide that feature from my public profile?

Hey milje, welcome to the Community.

There's an option for this in your Preferences (Mac: Spotify > Preferences | Win: Edit > Preferences)

Hello,

at the moment you can hide your top tracks but you cannot hide your top artists. I have had the Top Tracks and Top Artists unchecked for about a week but Spotify still displays my Top Artists on my public profile. I have tried clearing the cache, reinstalling etc but nothing helps so apparently its just a feature of Spotify.

I dont understand why they have implemented such a feature and I really hope they remove it but we'll see. Apparently its been around from some time so perhaps its there for good.

This is in your cache. Other users do not see those. If you want to completely hide those from itself, just clear cache in Spotify.

Does this mean that subscribers are now removed and can't see these songs either once you unpublish Top Tracks?

Subscribers won't be unsubscribed, no. They'll still be able to see the tracks. It will just stop these Top Tracks appearing in your Profile.

Who's your Spotify Star?

I'm having the same problem. I have had the Top Tracks and Top Artists boxes unchecked in my preferences for a long time, yet they are still visible to other users (not just me). How do I hide them??

hi,

i have the same problem. I deleted my cach manually, but it doesnt help! its rediculous!

opening my profile page, i can see one top artist listed! for sure it isnt my top artist! i wanne remove this artist from my profile. i dont care, whether just me can see it or the public... There must be solution! And there is no way to handle it through the preferences... need some help!

How long has this been showing for? The Top Artists should clear in a few days, at most.

Let us know if it won't budge though, and we'll look into this further!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

If you have the option set in your preferences to hide them from your profile then they won't be shown to the public. They will still appear when you view your own profile as that data is cached locally for you.

Since data caching is sometimes an issue with problems like this (since Spotify will save the page once you view it and continue to show that information for a while), if you would like me to check and see if they are visible to the public or not post a link to her account here or in the Private Message (link in my signature) and I will have a look!

Ok I checked from a different account and I can't see anything. Now there's another problem: how can I do if I don't want my sister to see my top artist and tracks from her account?

They will disappear from her client in time, after the temporary data being stored is overwritten. The top tracks she see's won't be updated until they disappear.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

The Top Tracks playlists have been removed from Spotify at the current time, see this post by Rorey for a little more information.
