How come only some users are visible through normal search?

I used to be able to tell my friends my Spotify username and they could just type it into the search bar and find it. Then I got a new account and for some reason, it says there are no results when you type it in. I know that you can view it by writing Spotify:user: in front of it in the desktop version, but not all my friends have the desktop version of Spotify. So how come only some usernames such as my old one are visible through  normal searching?

Hey @anonymous46, welcome to the community!

Right now, it takes a while for new accounts to show up on the search results, as with new playlists, but rest assured it's only a temporary thing.

Soon your friends will be able to look for you by just typing your username on the search bar.
