I find no place in here to close my account. I set up a free one but as there is no way to untangle the two wish to completely close the account.

I have two accounts somehow, and I only want the first account to be active and connected to my facebook. My first account has a few playlists saved that I would like to access. I would like the second account to be closed completely. Why do I have two accounts and can the second one be closed permanently?

U can close ur account.
Just follow these steps.
1. Open ur computer.
2. Go to Settings and remove Spotify if U want to do so.
3. Open ur browser, write Spotify.com.
4. Have a look at bottom of site and click About.
5. Have a look for contact form.
6. Ask for account close.
7. Wait for response, if U get some automated replies to look at page of help /community, U can just reply back and ask agaaaaain for account close.
8. Wait for response in this case.

If you get an automated reply email, you need to reply back to it.
Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

I tried contacting support in the way you suggested to close my account(s), I've been waiting for two days for anything more than an automated reply. Then I read these automated replies in detail and they just tell me to look at the help pages, here or twitter feeds for support.
I just want to close my two accounts - I no longer use them, I don't think its too much to ask to have a "delete account" option in the account settings bar - making me google it because the help pages have no references to closing an account (that I could see) and then when I find this suggestion it turns out to be a dead end anyway is very very frustrating, and will only make people think twice before signing up again in the future.
So is there a current way of closing accounts? Any help is appreciated.

I am getting the same email and it bad customer support for Spotify to not have a much easier way to do this. All I want to do is close my account and be done with this.
I'm having the same problem an i am incredibly unimpressed with this abount of jailing of users. I want to close my account! A company that follows basic Net-etics should know better than to make me jump through hoops like this. - Ive sent the email, ive recieved the standart and useless reply that sent me to this userdriven supportforum....and what now?

Reply to the automated email (even though it says not to) asking for your account to be removed. It will be sent to a member of staff who can assist you 😉
