How do I get a username?

Hi I created a new Spotify account, until a year ago I had one with a username chosen by me. Why this time in the process of creating the account I was never asked to do this? And where I can set one?

Hey there!  So in the top right corner of the Spotify page, you should see your current username and profile pic (if you have one).  There's an arrow right next to that, and if you click it, it will open up a menu.  Click "Account" in the dropdown menu and it will take you to your online account page, with an option that says "Forgot username or password?"  Click this to edit your username.  Hope this helps!  If not, or if I have misinterpreted your problem, please let me know.  Thanks!
