How do I transfer playlists from an account to another?

When I deactivated my Facebook account, I logged back into my Spotify account and it reactivated my account. So I made a new account.. How do I transfer my playlists from my old account to my new one? I tried "sharing" but that only works with friends on Facebook..

Does this apply to Family sub-accounts also? I have a large playlist for my son that I want to transfer to his sub account and then remove from mine. Has anyone tried this?

Cheers

Hi, you said that the easiest solution is to sign into the old account, but my problem is that i can't sign into the old account because he was link with my old facebook account.

So i can't sign into my old Spotify's account because my Facebook's account is delete. Now i create a new account, but i would transfer my old playlist, have you a solution for me please ?

Hey @Raph0107, easiest solution to get that sorted for you would be to contact Spotify Support. They will either be able to assist with removing the link to your Facebook account, or they should be able to port over your playlists and saved songs over to your new account.

Any other issues, please let us know!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

The easiest way is to sign into your old account, drag and drop your playlists from inside the Spotify client on the Windows desktop, log out, sign in with your new account and drag the playlists back from the desktop into the client.

Peter

What do you mean, drag an drop into the client?

Sorry I'm not that tech savvy.

Here's the suggestion for you, Try Musconv (www.musconv.com). One of the best app to transfer your playlist from one music service to another. Just export from your Spotify account and Import to any of your music service by choosing the destination.

You can view your playlists on the computer? I am only able to view them on the phone, how can I Ctrl A?

Here is a way to copy a playlist from another person/account to your own. No following a playlist but copy it in one action to your OWN playlist with exactly the same name.

-on the desktop app search for the user you want to copy the playlist from (a different person or your other spotify accuont)

-on the overview page of this person go to 'See All' on the right side of the 'Public Playlist'. Nw you will see an overview of all his/her playlists.

-Click and hold on the playlist title/name you want to copy to your playlists.

-Drag it to the bottom left of your screen and drop it on the circle with a plus sign in it with the text ' New Playlist'.

This will create a playlist on your account with the same name and content as the source one.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ronald, I will give this one a try. Far easier than having to download all again under other Family account member.

this is an utterly brilliant solution. I'm planning to close my Facebook account for good, and wanted playlists from my old Spotify account (linked with FB) to be transferred to a new Spotify account I just created. I would have dreaded the thought of starting back from scratch. This tool is super easy to use and worked like a charm. Highly recommended. Thank you kind sir for taking the time to come up with this!
