How to get spotify to publish on ticker?

Although the music I listen to does publish to Spotify in my activity log, it does not post what I am listening to on the ticker like some of my friends. 'Publish what I listen to' is checked, and the 'allowed on timeline' ticker is checked in my activity log. Please help.

For this all you normally need to do is enable Spotify Social from the Edit > Preferences menu. It should be near the top 😉
