How to revert to free while Spotify is not working?

How to revert to free while Spotify is not working?

How do I revert to free from premium subscription?

Spotify is not working, just keeps rolling through all my playslists saying can't play current track to every song although I'm online.  I don't want to pay for something that I can't use at the moment until Spotify finally realises there's a problem and fixes it.  I don't want to lose my playlists so want to keep active but free while waiting.

Hey @suma1, Welcome to the community! 🙂

I suggest you try a clean reinstall and see if this helps, This usually fixes most problems 🙂

Note: This will remove any saved offline tracks and cache 🙂

Does This fix the issue?

Hi jean3601, thank you for your welcome and your suggestion, but I had
already uninstalled and installed Spotify again, with no result.

Cheers

Mmm strange, okay could you please get back to me with the following details:

1. Exact Device (e.g. Samsung Galaxy 4)

2. Exact operating system (e.g. 4.4.2)

3. Spotify app version installed (2.0.0)

4. What are you doing when the app skips/ stops/ crashes? Is it when it opens? When scrolling through tracks? When searching?

5. About how many playlists do you have?

If you could get back to us with those details it would be great. Thanks!

1. Desktop PC

2. Windows 8.1

3. Spotify - installed fresh a few hours ago. The numbers that came up
when I clicked in "About Spotify" in settings were 1.0.20.101.9e6957e14, if
that's the version number.

4. As soon as I click play on any track in any of the playlists, the
app just jumps to every track on the playlist with the message "can't play
the current track" on each one and doesn't play any of them. I saw on the
Spotify community site another premium user on desktop had the exact same
issue. Their log was headed " Premium subscriber and it will not play any
tracks" and was posted yesterday. I first noticed my issue today but haven't
gone into Spotify for a few days and was working fine a few days ago.

5. 25 playlists, although several have just one to 3 tracks in them.

Thanks for your help.
