When you subscribe to Family, your account switches to that right away. This way you can already invite your members and add them to the plan. Whatever remaining time you have from your original subscription gets divided between you and your members because you're now sharing your Premium with them.
You can check your Account Overview after switching to Family to find out when you'll be charged for the Family rate 🙂
