I am seeing unfamiliar playlists on my account

Hi

I have recently seem new playlists and recently played items which are not mine, appearing in my account. I have changed my password and logged out of all devices, yet they still appear.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Hi

It seems I have the same problem

I wasn't sure until this morning but someone plays with my account

 

This morning I was listening Spoti in car

And 2 minutes after stop my car and application my phone started to play itself, and not my playlists

 

I stop it again and saw that a web user was remote controlling my spoti !!

 

I'm waiting for my history (asked monday) to find who, how and where it come from. It takes several days to get it. Is someone able to tell me what happens?

I'm pretty new at this sort of helping community on Spotify so I will try my best. Did you try logging out and then logging back in? If not, I would try that. If that doesn't work then someone must've gotten ahold of your password. I would change it as quickly as possible with this link:https://www.spotify.com/us/password-reset/

and then follow the instructions. 

 

I hope your problem gets solved as soon as possible.

Of course it works now

But it doesn't correct the real problem

 

I'm carefully

Spoti is my only account i've been hacked

I'm still waiting for my logs to know what and how it happened (1 week waiting already)

 

I don't understand how somebody could enter in my account without any security control and not any mail telling me someone adds a device

Thanks for getting back to us. Sorry this has happened to you. 


I'd recommend you to go through this article to learn how you can protect your account. Also, it'll be helpful to change the password of your email that's connected to Spotify. 

 

Please keep in mind that account takeovers usually happen because of a breach on another service. Also, if you use the same password for several services, they all have the potential to be compromised if one has a security breach.
