I can't log in in the app

I can't log in in the app

The email and password are right but the app says that is an error and I can't get in my account

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Does logging in at https://spotify.com/account work just fine? If so, try using the username that's displayed on that page for logging into the app instead of your email address.

Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that you're facing difficulties logging in to the Spotify app. Based on what I've seen in the Spotify Community, it's suggested that if you're having trouble logging in on your PC's web player, you could try clearing your cache and site data, browsing history, or switching to a different browser. If the issue persists, it might be a local problem, so you could try logging in from another desktop using the web app to see if it still happens. Hello everyone!

I've the same problem. I can't login to the app, but actually I can on the Web site. I' ve tried to login with email address, user, Facebook but it didn't work. I've tried also to: uninstall and reinstall the app, turn off my phone, change my password, clean up the chace, find new version of my phone anche the app but nothing works.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A13 version 5.1 and my Spotify version is 8.8.58.473.

I'd really glad if anyone can help me!

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

 

These types of issues, when you can login to Your Account, but not on the app, are commonly country-related. If you're traveling in a different country than the one set on your account and you have a free account, you can only use it abroad for 14 days tops. To keep using your account after that period, you'll need to update the country to match your current location by following the steps mentioned in this article.

 

However, if you're a Premium subscriber, this could be related to account restrictions. In this case, as we don't have access to users' accounts from the Community, we'd recommend contacting our Customer support directly so they can check the account and help you further.

I'm having the same issue. It states the error noted kn the original post when trying to log into the app. No issues logging in through a web browser. But, of course, the web browser tries to force me to play through the app which will not let me log in. This started about 3 upgrades ago.

I have the same problem with my android pixel 8 pro.

I cannot login with none of my both Account. One premium and one free.

Uninstalled the app, delete the cache.

Webrowser login is ok for both.

Can you help?

We hope you don't mind us moving your post, as it fits better here in this thread.

 

Would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you see when you try to log in to the app on your mobile device? Be aware this is a public space, so please don't share any personal info in the screenshot you'll send us.

 

On another note, does this happen over WiFi? 3G/4G? Both? Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using? Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

 

Lastly, as mentioned here by @Maxim, you can try to log in with your username and your password. You can double-check your username on your account page.
