I can't log in with the right email or with my Facebook

I joined Spotify with my email. then a few days later I linked my account to Facebook and now on the top right hand side of the screen it shows my Facebook name and icon. today, Spotify suddenly logged me out and I couldn't log back in with my email address AND my Facebook. I've tried resetting my password and it says 'Your email address isn't linked with an active Spotify account' and when press 'log in with Facebook' it says 'unable to log in, either wrong username or password. have you signed up for a Spotify account?' I don't know why this is happening and I'm trying to avoid making a new account since my playlist has a year worth of music and most of my friends listen to my playlist.
