I changed my password and now I can't use Spotify through my PS4

Someone from South America managed to get into my account, so I had to reset my password. This worked fine for all my devices such as my phone and laptop, but it's seems to have broken spotify on my PS4, because when I try to use Spotify it simply comes up with a black screen with the spotify logo and under that it says  "Error", followed by randomized jumbled words and lettersn which change every time I try to start the app. No log-in screen, just an error message. I'm assuming this is because my PS4 is trying to log into my account but since the password is now different, it fails and gives me an error message. The problem is, there is no option to log-in with a new password. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but that didn't work.

Interstingly, if I look at my PSN profile it says I don't have an account linked with my profile, even though I did before I changed my password.

thanks for posting !

I'd recommend visiting your account page online over at Spotify.com, click on your account icon and under "Account Overview" click on "Sign Out Everywhere".

Then use this help page to try and reconnect the two as all the other devices work fine.

Unfortunately, signing out everywhere doesn't work for PS4, and I can't connect to spotify on PS4 using another device because spotfiy wont actually load up. It just gets stuck at the error message.

EDIT: okay, so i managed to get my phone to connect with the PS4 to play music, but I still can't use the actual app and my accounts still aren't connected. If I try to link my account through the PS4 by doing this I get a message saying "this feature is temporarily unavailable"

It looks like this is a widespread issue, here's a bunch of threads with the same problem. All of them list almost identical problems, but not a single answer for how to fix it.

This is pretty clearly a massive problem with the app, and should probably be forwarded to someone higher up at Spotify.
