I want to change my email but it's in use even though it's not!!!

I have a Free Plan and reside in the USA.

I had 2 Spotify account. The 1st account was rarely used and had my primary email. The 2nd account has an alt email but has all of my playlists and is my main Spotify account. I wanted to give the 2nd account the email from the first one, and to do so, I deleted the original account. I waited for several days until the account was permanently deleted and then attempted to change the emails. I got a message saying that my email was already in use. I then tried to make another account, and the same message came up. I really want to change the email of the 2nd account, which is my main and would really appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

It can take 14-30 days for your email address to become available again after closing the Spotify account associated with it.

It can take 14-30 days for your email address to become available again after closing the Spotify account associated with it.
