I want to close my account but I have no access to my email account

It's been a long time since I signed into my account using a password on a computer since I'm already automatically signed into my Spotify account on my phone and because of that I've forgotten my password. I finally got in by connecting my Facebook account to my Spotify account and I discovered that I accidentally added a typo to my email address when I was playing with my account settings while trying to change my password. I can't change the incorrect email address in my settings without also putting in my (forgotten) password for confirmation. I want to delete my account but I can't do that without confirming a message sent to the misspelled email address found in my settings. I can't find anyone else with the same problem as me. Do I have to contact Spotify directly with this issue?

Hey @kaibbi2,

If you contact support from your account, the support reply may probably go to the email you no longer have access to.

Log out of the Spotify website in your browser and fill out this contact form. Someone from Spotify will be happy to help you out.

Make sure you are logged out of any Spotify account in your browser when using the contact form or the username and custom email field will not show up. It is important so that you can enter the information of the account you are having trouble with. If you are logged in with a different account that is not having the problem, that account info will be used and support will be confused.

You should get a reply within 24-48 hours. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.

Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, you can tweet @SpotifyCares.

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I logged out of my account, but the message was still sent to my old e-mail address. This is like something out of a Fellini movie.
