If I change my artist name will I have to make a new artist profile?

Hello,

I am looking at changing my artist name from "Spector" to "Spector." with a period on the end becuse there were alot of issues with distrubuting it because it would end up on another artist page. I would like to know that if I change my name will I have to make a new page and delete the old one or will all my tracks roll over if I change it?
