Impossible to log into my original account

My Question or Issue (sorry, it's quite lengthy... 🙂 )

Hello,

I created a spotify account about 6 months ago to try out creating playlists I could play at my bar. Got into it for a day and forgot about it as I had a lot of other work to do. With a bit more free time now, I wanted to get back to it but I cannot connect to the account nor reset the password by any means.


Here is how it goes whent I try
-On the login page I get told that the username is wrong or the password incorrect (displayed as: "Nom d'utilsateur ou mot de passe incorrect" in my native language)

-If I try the forgotten password feature (displayed as the "mot de passe oublié" link) by typing my email in it ( *snip* ) I get told that no active spotify account is linked to that email (displayed as "Le nom d'utilisateur ou l'adresse éléctronique indiquée n'est associée à aucun compte spotify actif" in my native language).

-I did search my emails for "spotify" to verify I was using the right email address and I indeed was as I found the verification email, dated from november 14th 2018, you receive when creating an account.

-However I also found an email titled "Please update your Spotify password" dating from December 7th 2018 that I did not open at the time and that read:


"Hi

To protect your Spotify account, we've reset your password due to detected suspicious activity.

You need to create a new password to log back in. Just click the big green button.


Reset Password


If the button doesn't work, please click here to reset your password manually.

The "reset password" button leads me now to the reset password page but with a red box that says that the reset password link is incorrect or already used (displayed as: "Le lien de réinitialisation de votre mot de passe est incorrect ou déjà utilisé").

-If I try anyway to reset the password I get the same answer that no active spotify account is linked to that email.


I don't really know how to recover my account, it's bumming me out as I'd like to send good vibes in my customers ears but cannot without my spotify account. :'(

I had to create this other account to start a new topic here as I can't log on to original my account to do so.

In this case, I suggest that you be in touch with the Customer Support to get more information about your account and if there is a way to recover it. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Customer Support page here
  2. Select the option"Logging In"
  3. Select the option "I can't log in"
  4. Tap "I still need help" button.
  5. Fill the form and then you be guided to a chat page.

Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for posting!

About your issue, there are some possibilities, check all your email address to access its account or if it was linked to your Facebook account.

Try these possibilities and give me an answer in the future.

Thank you for your answer.

The email address of my original account is the good one (I'm using another account now to post as I don't have the informations to log into the original one), I found the emails confirming this.
I hadn't linked my spotify account to my facebook account so this is not a possibility eiher unfortunately.
