Iphone goes blank when accepting invite

So after signing up for Premium Family and sending invite to my wifes iphone 6, her email is opened woth an Accept Invite button.  Clicked that and the Iphone screen bar looks like its loading something but then the screen gies completely blank.  She set up a spotify account using her email address so that does not seem to be the problem.

I also find  the Spotify platform sign up process, including the invite, to be convoluted and poorly explained.  If for example, and as I assume, the invitee has to already have signed up an account before the  Accept Invite can be completed, why wouldn't that very useful info be included anywhere on the Invite email? 

Judging by the hundreds of posts on just a rather mundane sign up, log in process, there is room for improvement.

No, the blank screen only occurs on the iphone,  Also,rather disappointed at the lack on intuitiveness to spotify.  Just one of many examples, yiu can't use the Edit function in your account profile page to change the assigned 20 letter/numner username.  I just fund it curiously odd at the disproportionally large number of Help postings devotd to  such rudimentary aspects as username, and account setup, which get far less traffic in other more sophisticated apps.
