My Question or Issue
I am asking behalf of others to not open multiple topics with the same issue.
ALL WE GET THE FOLLOWING *REDACTED SCREENSHOT*
IF we are lucky, some of us don't even receive the link email.
What is going on? All we have months now the same problem but didn't talk about it since we thought it is fixed but the last month we have been locked out multiple times permanently and temporarily.
The people who didn't made to recover their accounts made new and a few weeks the same happens.
I got it today 2 times!!!!
While listening you get disconnected and doesn't allow you to log in, says about wrong pass/user, i was lucky because i received the email.
We are starting to going insane.... but we have to resist and we will claim everything from spotify and the problems cause to us. I am talking really serious, we promised once we receive a disconnection(lock out) we will writing critics at sites about your service, some of us already started, like in trust pilot, we are leading people away of this tragic service with the insane behavior...
Take a look at it or we will move aggressively, i am not jocking... you made me to reach this point of act.
We are waiting answer and solution really fast or the above i said will continue to happen.
Don't thank you at all because you don't "thank" us at all with the behave you have,
Adios.

Hey @rekle, and welcome to the community.
Hope you're doing great!
I understand your concern, and I will do my best to find a resolution to this issue.
Could you please provide me a screenshot of the sender email address? Please do not click any links or attachments to be on the safe side.
Also, how far apart did you recieve these emails (one of them in 10 mins, and one of them in 25 mins*as an example)?
Keep me posted, I look forward to helping out.
Thanks 🙂
Same problem, it is in a loop 1 month now at 12:00-14:00 Turkey time.
I have spotify since 2015, after the big web player update and at the windows app, the spotify is faltering. I have the same issue twice every week the last 40-45 days.
The strange thing is that at first i had an email i never confirmed for 2 years and didn't had issue like this, then i add another last year because i had to and confirmed it and having these issues.
After many years i think i have to look for alternative service. I am leaving spotify, i was enough tolerant but not anymore.
Thanks for the reports 🙂
In this case, you folks can click the "Contact Us" button in the email you recieved so that their support team can resolve your issue.
I hope this helps. If you need help with anything else, just let me know 🙂
Hello and forgive me for my English.
Don't waste your time to come in contact with them. I did it a month ago, they looked for it and they gave me multiple reasons,
1. Not trustworthy mail provider
2. As a free account i was listening music most than the average duration
3. I was listening only 3-4 specific artists only every time.
So i changed my email to outlook one, i got locked out again
Then i paid attention to the duration i started listening my music before locked out. It was 4-5 hours while my sleep(the time i listen) was 8-9 hours.
Also the same artists.
So i starting wondering... do they want me to pay? they say is "free" and the only cost is the ads... no, no, no and NO they WANT you to go Premium. Also for the artists i was listening was some indie i like a lot, and some more popular, so i screen recorded all the progress while listening my music and recorded when i was locked out.
I contact some artists personally if they were approachable or some of them thought their companies. From those i made to come in contact by the same told me one of them that he knows this and trying to limit his fans so don't remove his music(THAT IS SPOTIFY'S BS!! THE ARTIST LIMIT HIS FANS?) it is not a serious company and not trustworthy at all, 2 of the companies i made it to make them respond and said to me they will look about it and asked me if they need me to provide them more info or support and proofs if i will be there, i said yes i will.
Now using Deezer, they are HONEST!
Hey folks,
Just to be clear, there are no limits for playing any artists. We will work together to resolve whatever issue you are having, but false rumors will be removed from our Community. If you're experiencing anything unusual with the emails, check out @Billy-J's post for further help.
Thanks for understanding.
Tried and changed email... after 1 day received again an email that i have to reset my password for security etc. and didn't letting me get in until i do it, so i done it the next day again the same, i changed and added new address confirmed again and the next day the same happens... i said "let's try something out" me and my students set up a personal use mail server restricted to bypass it like "hot gates" and even stronger, we used it about 14 people we received, confirmed, all locked out again... some of us reset it again and we got locked out again... i don't know about limits but i personally listening only 3 bands and i have in a playlist 50 hours content of them and listening sometimes over 5 hours, some time i leave office and letting my pc on and don't stop spotify so the music keep going, one day i returned i found it locked me out again. The "Contact us" doesn't help at all, some of us we have accounts that we only receive and cannot reply for security reasons because of our studies for leaks etc. even if it is yahoo or hotmail or what ever else, our outgoing mail is blocked. I know you will say to me "do it with a simple by your own when you are at vacations or something" i have done it this too and locked again.
So i personal believe that or you have a buggy AI mail server or you have TO MUCH strict policy, you must look both, because i stopped trying and i currently listening music somewhere else and i paid there because as free they worth it and also others doing the same at the university.
The "fun" is that if locks you out and you cannot log in and haven't reset you password we keep receiving promotional emails from spotify, playlists suggestions, tips etc... this irony or fun.... call it how ever you want.
Take care what you are selling and how you are selling it, because all we are the final judges who holds the tomatoes.
Say that to your superiors because i don't want to do it, it will and badly.
Hey there @rekle,
Thanks for getting back in touch with this.
If I understand correctly you're seeing an email prompting you to reset your password in order to access your account. Please keep in mind that, as we mentioned before, there are no limits for playing any artists.
Just to confirm, have you made sure the emails you're receiving are indeed from Spotify? If they look suspicious, you can follow the steps here.
Also, keep in mind that some shared or public networks (e.g. schools/work/office) restrict access to certain services. If you're having troubles using Spotify, you can contact those responsible for managing the network for more information.
On another note, you mention that your outbound emails are blocked. In this case, if you're having troubles reaching out to our email support team, you can try one of our other support channels you can find here.
Let us know if that helps further 🙂
1.000% are coming from Spotify, maybe you don's see me but if you see me you will understand that i am not stupid. Also regarding the contact, i chose how to complaint or say it and is the Community.
Thanks.
I recovered the "Catch em all" back up of our mail server so you can see everybody who take part of our experiment individually what they received, what time, size, etc...
Every line is a user's mailbox, i just filtered it "the catch em all" with the word "update" and got the list. It looks "cool"? isn't it?
Hey @rekle,
We understand what you mean. In this case, it seems that your accounts and email addresses need to be looked at, which is done by one of the support channels we linked to.
If there's anything else you need help with, please let us know. We want to make sure that this gets resolved for you.
Thanks!
