Is my password stored on hard drive/device?

Is my password stored on hard drive/device?

I've forgotten my password for my Spotify premium and don't know the email address that was used to create the account. A friend set it up for me so the only information I have for the account is the username.

I have never logged into the account on a computer, I have only ever used it on my Android phone. I needed to reset my phone today and have just found that my Spotify has logged out.

I was wondering if any information like the password is stored in the files that are kept on the SD card? I really need to get back into my account and can't ask Spotify to get my password for me as I don't have any of the details that they require! Please help, how do I get back in!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest you contact Spotify support using this contact form. Because here you can specify an email which you can access.

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?

Check album availability here

You will need to get in touch as @Christoffer outlines above, Spotify passwords (and passwords in general) will never be stored in a human readable format on any device for security reasons.

When you get in touch, if you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
