So I've had a dozen different issues since Spotify has decided to venture into Canada.

 

First I will illustrate the issues I've found then go into detail

 

1. Changing country

2. Purchasing premium

3. Logging in on my phone(s)

 

1. So I can't change my country. I've followed the instructions on the help suggestions.. and all would be fine and dandy if only there was the option to select that I live in Canada.. -_- Not only this but I have gone through the process to have my country changed to Canada, to no avail.. There was supposed to be a followup email in which I would be notified of the change within 48 hours.. yet I have not seen said email. 

 

2. Purchasing premium has been an issue since day one. I initiated the 7 day trial immediately and had great fun collecting all the songs I wanted to listen to and even DOWNLOADED THEM TO MY DEVICE. Now... to my understanding when you download something onto your computer or phone.. that means it's there for good, no? Not with Spotify.. if any developer is reading this now you might want to change up the wording on the "download for offline listening" so as not to suggest the music files will be embedded into our devices. They are merely stored as cookies so that the song doesn't require streaming. Serves no purpose if premium runs out. If I'm going to be paying $10 a month for this service I would at least demand to own the songs, if only for my own personal enjoyment, I don't see the point in paying $10/m to rent songs when it's going to charge you to stream and or download it either way. 

 

3. Logging in on my phones has become an issue now too???? What gives??? Is it because I'm in Canada? Was my country changed and I wasn't notified? Because now everytime I go to log in (even after having uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify, powering down my device etc etc.) I still am unable to log in on any device that isn't my laptop and even on my laptop I'm unable to receive the level of service that I had gotten before...

Hey there.

Offline mode will be removed if no Premium activated anymore. If you liike music and service, why not to subscribe? With country problem contact online support.
