Keeps Telling me to use Facebook

So here is my problem - my phone used to remember my spotify details. But it stopped doing so. So I typed them in to log in....it then tells me I dont have a facebook account and that I shoudl input my credential. Weird thing is this only comes up if I type in my credentials correctly. If I type them in incorrectly, it tells me there is no account with those details. When I go to my computer and log in with those same details, there is no problem. The problem is only on my standard android phone !

Is the facebook-app on your android-phone currently connected to the same Facebook-account you used for spotify?
Have you tried using the "log in with facebook" button?

Thank you so much for your reply. What is odd is that I am not on facebook and never logged in using facebook
