Hey, so this seems sort of weird.
On saturday I got the same problem as a lot of others, all my playlists disapeared and I was downgraded to spotify free.
I immediatly sent custommer service an e-mail, but they just gave me a BS answer and told me to come here, like it's not their responsibility to help me.
I originaly created a spotify account connected to facebook about a year ago(I never had a pure spotify account with a spotify username).
It seems that spotify suddenly created a whole new user for me, with a new user ID-number.
I was able to track down the account with all the old playlists on through someone who was following the account with all the playlists on. The account was now just named a user ID-number.(This is the old one, not the new one that spotify suddenly assigned me)
So now I am only able to follow all my old playlists, but I will not be able to edit them.
However I am able to use my old account in my web browser through FB, since it seems to still be synced with facebook.
Today I suddenly also got this notification on my account overview (still talking about the new account without playlists):
"Subscription status
You are registered for Spotify Premium until 2013-10-17. After this period your account will become a Spotify Free account."
Where did this come from? Did spotify charge me for a 2nd account?
How can I get back the account with all my playlists on? And how may I check if spotify is double charging me?
To sum up:
-Account 1 is "gone".
-New account assigned (let's call it account 2)
-Account 2 is on free, but was suddenly upgraded to premium for 2 days.
-Account 2 follows all of account 1's playlists.
-Account 1 is accessible only in my web browser through facebook.
-Account 1 had it's name changed from my full name to the user ID-number
-Account 2 was given my full name, but ofcourse has a different user ID-number.
Tried to make it as clear as possible, just ask if something is unclear.
Thanks if you take the time to try and help me.
