Migration from Gmail to 'g' based username

Migrated from gmail login (Premium Account)  to the new username that starts with 'g' that Spotify provided and as expected, my playlists etc have gone.


Spotify email instructions to use thier 'Contact' form don't appear to work in that no matter what account I use to log in (brand new trial , old gmail or new 'g' usernamed account) as in all three cases there is no 'Signed up w/Google; don’t like username.' option in the first or subsequent boxes of the 'Contact' form.

 

I sent an email via the 'Contact' form based on the three selections 'Account and login', 'I’ve lost my playlists', 'All of my playlists have disappeared' and all I got was an autoresponse email telling me to come here!!

 

Anyone (ideally Spodify Mod or Admin) move my playlists when given the details or does someone have some useable advice please?

 

I primarily used spotify on a Windows 8 PC and sometimes on an Android phone, if that makes any difference.

If you reply to the autoreply email with something like "l still need help with my playlists", it will go directly to someone in support and you should get a reply within 24-48 hours.

 

It sounds silly, but just do it. 😉

 

Please post back if you haven't gotten a reply within at least a day or so and I can get a community manager to get this looked into for you.

In fairness, they have now been in touch via email and are resolving it. However, it's not straightforward or clear whats happening with my old accounts and premium payment.

 

And I've had to change my login to get in here, it seems *sigh*

Yeah unfortunately the Google login was never implemented across the board on Spotify, so it has made a bit of a mess. Glad they are getting it sorted for you.
