I had hundreds of starred songs, and now they are all gone except for 3 or 4 of them.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

 

Strange, have you tried logging out and in again or a reinstall? Could just be a slight glitch in Spotify.

Does the same thing happen on the Spotify web player?

Yes. I have logged out and back in, as well as reinstalled. Logging into the web player is the same.

It appears similar to this issue: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Accounts-and-Subscriptions/duplicate-accounts-spotifiy-playlist...

But I don't think I have created any new account lately.
