Moved permanetly to another country and got message of availability abroad

Hello, i have just been transferred on a permanent job to the UK and after some days, i got the message that spotify is only available abroad 14 days...the reality is that i will be living "abroad" permanently...still undecided if upgrading account though...i have changed the city field both in spotify profile and facebook, but still it says i am abroad....can you help me so that spotify recognizes the UK as my home country now and get access again? Thanks!

Hi there! I've seen people have issues wth editing their country before in this type of scenario. If @OviiiOne 's suggestion doesn't work, I recommend reaching out directly to Spotify Support. They can be reached through their Twitter Page @SpotifyCares or through the online contact form.

Make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify. Once you get it, make sure to reply back right away, even if it says it's from a "no-reply" email.

Cheers!

Thank you very much for your help, it worked!!

It doesn’t work for me. It says I have to change my payment method, but the only way to change it is to actually buy Premium, which I don’t want to. I will try to reach Spotify via Twitter…

@Lazza

I suggest you contact support so they can help you change the country

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

MattSuda, thank you for your help.

I missed the automated word when you were suggesting that I reply to their email. I did that now, Hopefully they will reply soon.

You're welcome

Indeed they replied very quickly. However the solution does not work. They want me to create a new account (which I can't because my account is based on Facebook and I can't have multiple Facebook profiles, nor I want to) and then I need to write to them and they will move my songs over there. This sounds pretty stupid, compared to simply modifying my record in their database.

Well, I will keep using a Hola on Spotify Web every 14 days to extend the "vacation" period. How weird.
