Moving from a family plan to a personal plan

I was sharing a family plan with my boyfriend (the plan and payments are in his name) but as we have now split up I would like to set up my own plan in my own name. I can't create a new account currently as my email is in use and I don't want to lose the playlists I've created.

Would really appreciate advice on how to set up and move over

Hey! Thanks for reaching out to the community!

If he was the plan manager, he'll need to remove you himself by accessing the Family Account page and removing you as a member. After you're taken out, you can resubscribe to Spotify Premium on your own if you'd like to. Hope this helps 🙂

To answer your last question, we can confirm that switching between different Premium subscriptions doesn't affect the music on your account, so all your personal playlists will still be there by the time you're subscribed to a standard (individual) Premium.
