My Question or Issue

Music on both my Macbook and iPhone keeps pausing, I have deleted both apps, restarted both devices and wifi/bluetooth with no luck. I have also noticed music I don't recognize on my "recently played." I went to my account, signed out of everything and changed my password, and it is still happening!! WHat do I do??

Hey @cac548 ,

Thanks for reaching out.

I'd recommend trying the steps shown here in order to protect your account. It might also be a good idea to check these additional steps.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

sorry, I posted once but I'm not sure if it went through. I'm having this same issue. I did everything that was listed (change password, logout everywhere, remove 3rd party apps) and the issue is still happening. It will play about 30 seconds of the song I want and then change to something completely different. any other suggestions?

Hi there @nyannetti,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Can you let us know if this is happening across all your devices or just a single one? And is it happening at random or every time you start playing a song.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

It was every time I started a song listening on my phone. That's the only
place I use Spotify. It would also start randomly playing songs if I had
the app open but not playing songs.

It finally stopped doing it so I am guessing the hack
troubleshooting worked just took some time.

thank you!

Hi @nyannetti,

Thanks for the reply.

Sometimes people might get access to your profile via fraudulent activities, but it's also possible to forget your account logged in on the device of a friend/family member. So it's always a good idea to keep an eye on the devices you see in the Connect tab 🙂

Don't hesitate to reach out again if the issue returns.

Have a great day!
