Music stops randomly when played on HT amp

I started using Spotify recently since it has not been available in South Africa that long. I upgraded to premium so that I could get it to cast to my HT amp which has the app. Everything worked great until a few days ago when the music would just stop. It sometimes jumps to another track. I have also noticed that some of the features are unavailabe or disabled. My amp is networked to my wifi modem with cat5 if that makes a difference.

OK so I have had it playing for close to an hour now with no hic ups. Seems to have sorted it self out. Thanks for the response and I will keep you posted

Hey @Yamaharxa860! welcome to the community!

Just to confirm, what device are you using to cast to your HT amp? is it only pausing when you use the amp or regardless of the device?

In the meantime, try reinstalling Spotify, and restarting your WiFi router before testing this again.

Keep me posted.

Hi Alfredo

I installed the Spotify on a different cell phone and that didn't help at
the time. I restarted the modem several times and neither did that.

It improved over time by the next day that I could play a complete track or
two but still did not play a full playlist. The Yamaha controller app on
the cellphone says that the firmware is up to date as well.

Internet radio app plays flawless and so does Youtube so no problem there.
I contacted the internet service provider to test the line and he said all
was OK. I am begging to think it is a random glitch isolated to my
application because at the time the music stopped on the yamaha I could
continue playing direct from the cell
