Music will not play

Music will not play

Hello,

 

As of about 5 minutes ago all music will not play in either the application, the webbased version of Spotfy, or the mobile applications.

 

I am saddened to see when trying to access your support pages the lack of any contact details, especially given I am a paying customer.

 

Please advise when this will be resolved and the cause of this problem.

I to have had this problem as of about 5 minutes ago, and as a paying customer find it frustrating I cannot contact someone in regards to fixing this. I hope this is remedied quickly as I need my music so that I can get through the work day.

The @SpotifyStatus page on Twitter is public, you don't need an account to view it as far as I am aware.

Yeah i am also having the same problem..... There is not a topic on the support website that gives any kind of solution, and there are no details to contact anyone. Like you guys have said- very frustrating!!!

 

i assume it is a network wide problem and hope to be contacted by spotify in some way soon!  Seconding what others have already said!

Pleased to say music has resumed on my end now, although my concerns and others in this post are the same. I do not currently use twitter and it seems you can contact someone at spotify via these means, which is useless for me. I would expect clicking "Help" and after using the FAQ an option of "Can't find a solution? Contact us!" to appear, instead, I am diverted to a public community which I am unsure is even manned by staff. I can't imagine people wanting to publicise their billing problems over twitter to the world and I am sure in these circumstances there is a contact method privately (I hope anyway)?

I'm getting pretty fed up with this service. I cancelled some months ago and rejoined last month thinking they must have fixed their awful software by now. But - guess what? They haven't! The web player is silent and refuses to play anything. The Windows app crashes as soon as I try to search for anything so I can only play my playlists and preset content. 

 

You guys have great potential but constantly screw it up with apalling service. It really is time people voted with their feet - as I am about to do again.

lenscape, have you notified Spotify separately of the issues you are having?  I work for a softare company (not Spotify), and we normally have no way of knowing of issues with softare unless we are notified by the customer.  And sometimes even when the customer does tell us about an issue, we can't reproduce it despite spending days trying to do so. While it would be great to have flawless software, that just isn't possible, regardless of the company. If software exists, bugs exist.

 

I encourage you to do a forum search for the issue you are having to see if anyone else has had the same problems. This way you might find a solution faster than you would if you were to contact support.  Response times from support are often within a day, but forum search results are almost instant.

 

As a daily user of Spotify, I can't not being able to use the app, so I am hoping you'll find a way to resolve your problems.
