My Spotify playlists have disappeared after I imported my Itunes playlists

So I recently got Premium and set up a bunch of new playlists, sorted by genre and in some cases took quite a bit of time to build them.  I wanted to add some of my own local music so I imported my iTunes playlists.  It worked fine for a while, but then suddenly all my new Spotify playlists disappeared, replaced by my old iTunes playlists.  The Spotify playlists I spent so much time building are just gone.  

This is very frustrating.  There has got to be a way to recover them.  I just want to get rid of my iTunes playlists and get back my Spotify playlists.  Is this at all possible?
