Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem?
I've recently started using spotify a lot on my work laptop and I signed in with facebook.
Today I decided to get spotify running on my home computer too.
However it seems I already had an account from last year when I signed up to spotify but didn't use it. That account wasn't linked to facebook; it was a "proper" spotify account.
Because my playlists and followers etc. are on my "other" account (different e-mail address) which is already signed into via facebook, I thought if I hook up my home computer account to facebook everythng would synchronize.
Unfortunately this is not what happened. The home computer account (with no playlists, followers etc.) has now "taken over" my work laptop. I can't find any way of getting back to previous account on my work laptop because when I sign in with facebook now it's hooked up to the older, original (unused) account and I never had a "proper" spotify login on the work laptop.
Can anyone advise me as to what I should do here?
Many thanks
Richard

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to restore those playlists to your account for you. They will just have been lost in limbo when your accounts got merged, but the staff can retrieve them for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi, and welcome to the community!
This is surprisingly common, actually. The only thing you can do is contact customer services using the Support Form, and hope they can rescue your old account (they should be able to get the lists for you at least).
