My account isn't getting updated

My Question or Issue

My Spotify account isn't getting updated at all and so many new features aren't getting included in my account. This includes the lyrics and the blend feature. A lot of users I know, who've only started using Spotify recently have all their accounts up to date and as a loyal Spotify user (I've had my account since 2019), it's getting extremely frustrating for me :((Spotify.png

I use the Spotify desktop app and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times to no avail. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed? Please and thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

 

Since new updates are rolling out to users periodically, your app might update soon as well. There is no way to manually force this. 

 

What you can try is to install the app from the MS store, if you've downloaded it from our website and vice versa. The MS store app is more optimized, however this causes some issues on some computers.

 

Keep us posted if that makes a difference.

At Spotify, we’re often testing and launching improvements and new features. This means you might see something on the app that other users don't or vice-versa, or get a new feature to try temporarily.

 

We can't make any promises, but we hope these features are rolled out to everyone soon.

Thank you for your post here in the Community. 

 

Lyrics is still being rolled out and blend is just in testing phase which can be the reason you don't have this.

 

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

 

If that doesn't do the trick, can you create a new account to see if the issue persist?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Hey!

Thank you for the clarification 🙂

I got a little flustered because EVERYONE I know with an account got these feature updates on their accounts. So that's just luck, I guess?

I did perform a clean re-install and created a new account as well to check if I'll luck out, but both didn't seem to work out 😞

So will I have to wait until it passes testing?

Heyya !

 

I re-installed it from both the Microsoft Store as well as from the website. Still no updates. Nada.

Just have to stay patient and hang in there, I guess.
