My account says I am listening abroad when I’m not.

My account says I am listening abroad when I’m not.

My spotify account logged me out because my 14 days of abroad listening were up.  I went to reset my location but it was already set to the correct country that I am in.  It didn’t give me any other options to change my location either.  I don’t know how to fix this.

Welcome to the Community!


You can change the country of your account by going in the Profile section on your account page


If the option is grayed out we recommend you try the following:

  • Different internet connection
  • Using an Incognito window
  • Different device

Could you also tell us if you are using a VPN?

I am not using a VPN, although I tried and it didn’t seem to make a difference.  I tried on both my phone and my computer and the only option available on my Edit Profile page was the same country I am currently in and already had selected.

You'll only be able to change to the country that matches your current IP address. You can check which country your IP address shows through this Link
