My email is wrong and I can't update it!

I have an old Facebook account that I banned some time ago, I was using Spotify in it.  When I did, of course, I wanted to create a Spotify independent account (a paid one), but when I decided to do so, it refused to use my email to create a new account.  By this time I was using my new facebook account, with the same email address.  So I thought this would be easily sorted if I used an email address that I don't even use anymore.  So I created my Spotify account, with that email address.  I linked the account to my new facebook account, hoping the email would be updated.  No go, since the account credentials sit somewhere here in the web, not in the application.  Loggin in with my existing email address would take me to my old facebook account and force me to log into an account that I wanted to abandon.  It was a mess.  I went to my old account changed the email, to a yahoo email address another I don't use either.  That still didn't unbind my email address.  Now I am forced to keep both FB accounts active hoping for a fix.  Neither of the facebook accounts are using the email address registered with spotify; the one I was obligated to create my account with.

 

Attempting to change my email address is futile.  Please help me get rid of that email and have my updated email address, I tried loggin in with my old account through facebook, using the existing email for each account.  It doesn't work.  I don't know what else to do!

Hi. The easiest solution is to use the online contact form and someone at Spotify will help get this sorted. If you get an automated reply, make sure to reply to it directly (even though it says not to) to speed things along.

Thanks so much that's great help! I was completely lost and had no idea how to send a support ticket.  This email address' mess-up has me very frustrated, I just hope they can sort it out.  Even my payment method has my new email address.

 

In the other hand they should be able to allow users to deactivate facebook-only spotify accounts upon request, in which case the email is released.  I tried to do it, I didn't find out how.

Thanks, the technical support technitian was able to delete my old/extra account.  Which released my email address to be used in my new account.  I wish there had been a Spotify control panel of some sort in the facebook account (that would have solved a lot of things and I wouldn't have had to create a new account).  Being able to update to a "paid account", like in my case.  There is still so much more that spotify should improve in Facebook-made account, and well for now creating a spotify account BEFORE you link it to facebook seems to be the ONLY way to counter conflicts like this one.
