My mail will stop working by the end of the year. My email service is ending. I log in to Spotify via facebook. When I change my email address on Facebook, can I access my Spotify account? Email cannot be changed to Spotify. What should I do?

Hey there @lubos,

Thanks posting here in the Community! We'll gladly shed some light on the situation.

When a Spotify Account is created via Facebook, the login mail gets automatically imported from there. If you later on change the email address in your Facebook account, this change will not be taken up in Spotify. You'll still be able to log in with the Facebook button though.

Keep in mind that the email address of a Facebook created account can't be changed, but you can take a look at this Spotify Answer for more info.

Your other option is to create a new account. This way if you can reset your password or secure your account if the need arises. You can do this here.

If you have a subscription you can cancel it on this page and transfer your music so nothing gets lost.

When I change my email on Facebook, do I log in to my current account via Facebook? I have a premium account and I also want to continue my playlists that I have created.

We're happy to clarify this for you.

When you change the email on your Facebook account, that doesn't change the email on your Spotify login. However, you can still log in to your old account using the the Facebook Button.

Keep in mind that Spotify stores back-ups of your playlists. This means that no matter the changes to your account or the subscription, you can still keep rocking to your favorite tunes.
