My profile does not show up when searched. Any solutions?

One day I tried searching up my profile on the search bar on a friend's phone. But I couldn't find my profile. My profile is linked to Facebook, btw. When I got home to my computer, I typed my name onto the search bar. Nothing. Maybe your own name is not supposed to show up on your own account?

Then I made a temporary account, and I typed in my own name. Nothing showed up. Yet people that I knew, when I typed in their names, showed up, yet I wasn't friends with them on that new account. I also typed in account usernames (the type that does not have Facebook linked), and they too showed up. But mine didn't! I tried my name, and my account username--which is a long string of digits--nothing. Then I tried typing in spotify:user:[my_username_which_is_a_string_of_digits], I got to my account, but this workaround might only work on desktop. Besides, I can't seem to change my account user name from a long string of random digits, nor am I willing to memorize the string of digits.

Anyways, any idea of why my name doesn't show up, but other people and other usernames do?

Hey @mgolden356,

I believe that the search results are based on popularity and other factors. People can look up your profile by entering spotify:user:[your username]. This should work on all platforms.

I have 18 followers, yet people with less than 5 followers show up when searched on the anonymous account. It's a mouthful to type in and memorize "spotify:user:1231135***" everytime, instead of simply typing my name. Thanks for the feedback, but unfortunately, it wasn't the answer I was looking for.
