My sound goes down

When I open another app while listening to Spotify, my sound goes down. Once I make Spotify my main app is goes back up. How do I keep the Spotify volume the main sound?

Can you let us know what device, operating system, and Spotify version you’re rocking? Also, did this start happening after a recent update? 

In the meantime, please reinstall the app with these steps. If that doesn't work, try restarting your device.
