Solved!

My username turned into a number but I deleted by facebook account

Several years ago I've created my account via facebook.

Later I've deleted my facebook account, then my username turned into a number. I can't change it via "edit profile" (there is no such field in a form) and enabling facebook data processing obviously doesn't fix problem because my facebook account is deleted.

Hey @prettynatty

What you sent me is a screenshot from your desktop device. You can only change your display name from a mobile device or tablet, like a mobile phone.

Once you do that let me know. Thanks!

Hey @prettynatty, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

It's not possible to change your username, but you can add or change a display name following these steps

Hope this helps and let me know if I can help further!

There is no such field as Display Name because my account is created via facebook.

Hey @prettynatty

Thank you for getting back to me!

You should be able to add or change a display name following these steps on a mobile device or tablet:

  1. Tap Home in the Spotify app, then Settings
  2. Tap View profile.
  3. Tap EDIT PROFILE.
  4. Tap your display name to change it.
Tip: You can also add or change your profile photo here.
  5. Tap Save.

Let me know how this goes!

Thanks for the instruction, but every field is just grayed out there and there is no Display Name.

Hey @prettynatty

You're not able to change many details from that page since your account was connected with Facebook. There's more information on this here

Also, you're able to edit your display name and profile picture in the Spotify app, not the website. Once you open the app follow the steps provided in my last reply.

Keep me posted.

I can't edit my Display Name inside app because when I click on Account or View account (on the screen below) app gets me into browser on my account page.

And as I told in my first post, I can't change my name on facebook side because my facebook account is deleted.

Hey @prettynatty

You can now edit your display name from the Spotify web player on your computer.

Make sure you are logged in and go here: https://open.spotify.com

Once you are on the web player click on your profile name at the top right corner and select "Profile" from the menu. Then click on your display name at the top of the page next to the profile picture. A window should pop up and allow you to edit your display name.

Now you don't have to rely on just the mobile app to make this change.

This option just popped up for me so if you don't see it yet, you should hopefully see it soon.
