Need to swap emails to a different account

Need to swap emails to a different account

So I got premium on an account different than the account that has my usual email. I switched the email on the non-premium account to something else and then tried to switch the email on my premium account to my usual email. It says the email is already taken even though it is no longer connected to any Spotify account. Help?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community!

 

We only allow one Spotify account per email address.

 

If you see this error message when trying to update your Premium's account email, you already have an account with the email address you entered.

 

In that case, you can try closing the account registered with your preferred email address by following the steps here. Once your preferred email address is freed up, you should be able to update it on your Premium account with no issues.
