New Phone

I've just got a new phone and now my spotify is not working. I can log in, but when I search for songs it won't play that song, it will come up with options to Add to playlist, Star, Add to queue or share. I can play the radio but not the songs I or albums I want.

I've logged in with Facebook.

Help please.

Do you have Spotify Premium? It sounds like you are accessing the Shuffle play only mode on Spotify free.

I'm on the trial, haven't paid for premium. How do I turn that off?

When you say trial, is that a Premium trial? What happens if you tap a track to play on a playlist or artist page?

If I tap on the song, it comes up with the menu to choose: add to playlist, star, add to queue or share.

Just a normal trial, not premium.

Then that will be why. On Spotify free, you can only use Shuffle mode on mobile devices, you can't select individual tracks you want to play - that is a Premium feature.

Just signed up for premium. Didn't work. Still can't play songs.
Had no trouble on the old phone. Played songs as I wanted. Did so close to a year....
