New Subscription for a Student

So I have a code for premium, but my account currently is not a student, but I would like to make it one. When I go to make it a student, the only option I get to pay with is a credit card. How can I use my code to get the student subscription? Please Help!

Are you referring to a Spotify Gift Card/prepaid voucher code? If so, I'm afraid the Student Discount plan applies for credit/debit card payments only. Also, gift card is always worth the amount of time shown on it, and can’t be used with any Spotify deals. So the best thing to do here is to redeem the code on your account. Once it expires, you can then sign up for the Student Discount plan.
