No Facebook friends in Spotify

Hello guys,

I created a Spotify account by logging in with my Facebook account. I liked the fact that i can see people's activity and that others could see mine. That's exactly the problem. Songs i've played will not appear in other people's feed and not on my Facebook timeline. An other problem - but quite similar - is that on the Follow-tab no friends appear.
wWhat i see is:

'Facebook Friends on Spotify': There are no more people to show at this time. And that while almost all my friends use Spotify.

I''d appreciate if somebody can help me with this problem.

Yes, I noticed it also. There was an upgrade a few days ago and now the friends do not show

Glad that i'm not the only one experiencing this problem. I just made my account, like 4-5 days ago so that could be the problem. You're also suffering the problem that nobody can see what you're listening?

It works now for me. You need to log out of Spotify (close the desktop program) and reopen. Once reopened you will need to manually add in your Facebook friends that show in the "Follow" tab. I just did it and it works fine now.

Hey, welcome to the Community.

Try logging into Facebook itself > Account Settings > Apps > and then remove Spotify completely (but don't block it). Then log into Spotify as normal and hopefully your Facebook friends will appear in the Follow section.

same problem here. Got a premium account and I am pretty disappointed, because this feature was the reason to get it.

Tried out almost everything with deleting the app, login/logof etc. Nothing works.

babyridemehard - What's happening exactly? Is your social feed not loading? Have you started Following anyone?

I am following some other people playstits who have a lot of followers, but i cant find any of my facebook friends trough the search feature.

The weird thing is, it shows my facebook name and my profile picture, but thats it.

Yep I'm getting the same problem. I can follow other people but my own Facebook friends are not shown. I just get an message saying that "There are no more people to show at this time".

I have had this same problem for a few months now also.

When I go to the follow tab it says There are no more people to show at this time. I currently follow a few facebook friends but I am unable to follow any more. If I look on my phone at the Friends tab it shows some of my Facebook friends who use Spotify - both those I follow and those I dont - but there is no option to follow. This friends list also has not updated in a few months. I have added friends on Facebook recently who use spotify but they dont show up in the program or in the app. I am able to send music to friends on facebook through the share feature on spotify, but I am unable to follow these same friends.

I have done a lot of reading on how to fix this and all I can find is to try reinstall spotify or to disconnect from Facebook and reconnect.

Well I have tried reinstalling, reinstalling while deleting the cache, disconnecting facebook, disconnecting facebook and reinstalling. None work. I have also tried this on computers running Windows 7 and Vista and also on Linux. I am also playing around trying to get Spotify working on my raspberry pi but I dont think this should affect is (plus the problem has been around longer than I have had my rpi)

Interestingly any new friends I've recently added to facebook are now coming up in the "Facebook Friends in Spotify" section. Any old friends are still not being listed though.
