No Premium, but charged for it

No Premium, but charged for it

On February 3rd, I was charged via my credit card for Spotify Premium.  I have not had access to any spotify premium features this month and I want to cancel my subscription so I am not charged again - since I didn't get what I paid for anyway - but it is saying online that I don't have a premium account I only have a free account.  I have no case number and don't recall doing this.  Please be sure that I am not charged again or I will want a refund and a free two months (as that is what I paid for but did not get).

Is your account showing as premium on your online overview?

 

If it is showing as premium then you should be good to go! Sometimes a quick log out and back in again is needed. If you are still having issues, try a clean reinstallation of the application. 

 

If your account is still showing as free then you have not logged into the account you have upgraded. Double check your details, its amazingly easy to accidentally have two accounts, one with a Spotify username and another using your Facebook details. If you can't find your account, don't subscribe again as you might be billed twice, instead get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to lend a hand.

 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

I have a similar issue with my spotify account, i've had premium with the student discount for over a year, i've never had trouble verifying my student status until this time. I did all the steps, sent my school schedule, even my schoold ID, but they were still unable to verify my info.  Even though spotify was not able on my bank account I saw how i was charged the $5.40 of the student discount premium. I am still not premium and i was charged for it. I'm am very dissapointed, since I've always talked wonders of spotify to my friends. 

I have been charged for months for premium but cannot access it.  I only have one user id I can imaging using  so seems doubtful I have 2 accounts with Spotify as I've only started using them around the holidays.  

 

I must say this process have been infuriating and having no reasonable interaction with an adult leaves me so bitter and frusterdated that I would never subscribe to Spotify again.

 

I completed your form and received a canned email that just let me back into the loop of placating and providing no actual direct assistance.

 

My request is to cancel my premium charges, reimburse my paypal for at least the last two months, as I take ownership for every time I tried to resolve this issue with Spotify, getting frustrated and giving up.
