Not Eligible for Spotify Student

I'm trying to sign up for Spotify Student, but when I go online to subscribe, I get an error message that says that I am ineligible for the discount. The email that is tied to my account is my .edu email, so I don't think that that's the issue.  My university in in the United States, so I don't think that would be an issue either.  The only thing that I can think of is that I am currently in Perú (and my account is also running through Perú), and that that may be messing it up somehow.  Does anyone know how to fix this, or have a way that I could contact Spotify directly?

This seems to be an ongoing problem that Spotify simply ignore...The only help I seen online so far is 'contact customer services'.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this? I think it's awfully poor false advertising and something that needs adressing ASAP.

In order to be elgeible to the Student discount, your account need to be setted up in the same country as your university is.

I've also heard nothing...? My account was set up in the same country I went to uni too.

 

Can anyone be of any assistance?

In order to subscribe to Premium your payment details will need to match the country settings in your account and your location. You won't be able to subscribe to a US student discount with an account in Peru. 

 

If you want to subscribe to Premium, you can do it here. Note that you'll need a payment method from Peru.

I'm trying to re-activate for Spotify Student, but when I go online to subscribe and log in with my UniDays details, I get an error message that says that I am ineligible for the discount.

 

My unidays account is verified and still active so I don't know why this is happening? I've been charged the full £9.99 this month.

 

Can anyone help, please? Or escalate my query to staff?
